China Study Trip Sample Itinerary
We customized each trip according to your objectives in order to make the most of your China learning experience. The itinerary below is an example of a 13 day program across Beijing and Shanghai. This program's goal is to give students a broad view of different industries.

Day 1
Arrival, group pick-up and check into a 5 star hotel in Beijing city center
Day 2
Spend the morning climbing the Great Wall. Then, explore Beijing on your own in the afternoon. Tourist site suggestions are: Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, 798 Art Street, etc. By this evening, you should able to sleep well and get over your jet-lag.
Day 3
1) Morning session on Chinese culture/history and its impacts on today's business world, delivered by the Founder of ChinaSense, Ms. Jennifer Pan.
2) Visit Schneider China Research Lab to learn how global companies leverage Chinese R&D talents to compete more effectively.
Day 4
Take the morning to tour the world class Lenovo (the 4th largest PC manufacturer in the world). Then, learn from its senior managers on how a grass-roots Chinese company competes on the global stage.

Spend the afternoon visiting an inspiring charity school (Bai Nian Vocational School) to understand why more and more Chinese businesses are taking on social responsibilities. In the evening, you will enjoy a famous Peking Duck dinner, followed by a Karaoke session - an unique business networking skill in China :-)
Day 5
Visit Junhe Law Firm, the first private law firm in China, to understand the differences between the Chinese and US legal systems and their impacts on foreign companies in China. In the afternoon, we will visit a national level high-tech science park to participate in a highly interactive discussion panel with local startups to hear the true stories of entrepreneurship in China.
Day 6
Take advantage of a free day to explore Beijing on your own. Suggestions - Silk Street Market, Temple of Heaven, Peking Opera, Lama Temple, Ming Tomb, Laoshe Teahouse, etc.

Day 7
Group late morning flight to Shanghai. Check into a 5 star hotel at Shanghai city center
Day 8
Tour the famous Yu Garden and its Chinese folk art markets. Afternoon is free. Suggestions - Shanghai Museum, silk factories, Lujiazui Financial District, the Bund, etc.
Day 9
Spend the morning with a senior partner of the NEA investment banking firm to understand the importance of foreign capitals in China's economy. In the afternoon, you will visit the second largest seaport in the world - Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Seaport.
Day 10
In the morning, you will be hosted by senior managers of GE Healthcare to learn about China's healthcare sector. In the afternoon, you will meet with a China Mobile to get a sense of China's fast growing telecommunication industry.
Day 11
Visit a General Motors plant in Shanghai to hear a presentation from one of its Vice Presidents on how international car manufacturers are focusing on China to generate profits. Take the afternoon to visit Li & Fung (No. 1 trading company in the world) to learn how China's goods reach the rest of the world.
Day 12
Receive a presentation from US Shanghai Consulate Commercial Office, which specializes in bringing US companies to Chinese markets. Take the afternoon off to do your last minute shopping or city tours. In the evening, celebrate the end of your China trip with a group farewell dinner and river cruise.
Day 13
Check out of the hotel. Group airport send-off. Fly back to sweet home :-)
